Speaker Introduction
Our speaker for this morning/afternoon/evening is Stephen
Hopson. Born profoundly deaf, Stephen has overcome
tremendous adversity to become the person he is today. He is
a former award-winning Wall Street stockbroker who gave up a
lucrative career in the early 90's to pursue his dreams of
becoming a professional speaker, author and pilot.
As a result of his courage, strength, hope and faith, he is now in demand as a
speaker and
 is a contributing author to three best-selling books including
“Chicken Soup for the College Soul, ” "heartwarmers," and "Magical
Souvenirs...True Spiritual Adventures From Around the World." In
February 2006, he made aviation history by earning an instrument rating –
something never done before by a deaf pilot.
His professional speaking services,
Obstacle Illusions, provide passionate presentations for meeting planners so
that the audience can come to the conclusion that the impossible is really
possible if they have the heart to persevere. No one is immune from adversity
because it does not discriminate.
He is a frequent speaker before all types of business and civic groups. The last
time he spoke, the audience was glued to their seats. Stephen did this to make
sure no one left.
