Stephen's Speaking Fee Schedule

Continental U.S. & Canada and International

The keynote fee generally covers one 30-90 minute presentation. Fees are always subject to change and may vary based upon the length of presentation desired or the location of your event. For that reason, please email Stephen for custom pricing.

Other Pertinent Information:

*Deposit: To secure speaking date(s), a 50% confirmation deposit will be due at contract with the balance due one week prior to the engagement. This deposit guarantees the date will be reserved for you on the speaker's calendar - without it, the date is not confirmed.

*Time: Keynotes up to 90 minutes (including question and answers if desired)

*Expenses: Fees do not include unrestricted, first/business class airfare, lodging, meals, incidentals and other out-of-pocket expenses. The Speaker shall submit receipts and an itemized invoice for out-of-pocket expenses to the Client within 7 (seven) days of the event's end date. The Client shall reimburse the Speaker with 30 (thirty) days of receiving receipts and invoice.

  • Air Travel: The Client shall arrange and pre-pay for unrestricted first/business-class, round trip airline tickets from the Speaker's airport to the venue's airport for the Speaker. If the cost is prohibitive or the flight is short, this can be negotiated; please ask. The speaker has an "arrive early, stay late" policy, to insure against flight delays and to leave plenty of time for discussion, socializing, etc.

  • Ground transportation: For the Speaker between the venue's airport and the Speaker's hotel. The client has a choice of having someone pick him up at the airport or provide car/limo service (with a sign), or have them take a cab with expenses invoiced separately with receipts; your choice.

  • Hotel accommodations: The client will arrange and pre-pay for the Speaker the day before the event until the day of or the day after the event (depending on the situation). The client will put the master credit card on file with the hotel so that the speaker will not be required to provide the hotel with his personal card upon checking in.

  • Meals: For Speaker for which receipts are provided.

Plus all other reasonable, documented expenses necessary to the Speaker's conduct of the presentation during the time period of the event.

*Cancellation Policy: In the event of a cancellation by your organization, the speaker would be glad to rebook the event at no penalty if another date is booked within 12 months of the original date.

If there is no rebooking and the event is cancelled within 60 days of the event, the speaker will be paid the balance of the contract plus any already-incurred travel and/or preparation expenses. If the event is canceled more than 60 days of the event, the 50% deposit will be returned.

In the unlikely event the speaker needs to cancel his appearance due to illness or death in the family, he will do everything possible to obtain a comparable speaker at the same fee. If such a speaker cannot be found, he will promptly return the deposit in full.

*Force Majeure: Any cancellation by either party shall not be considered a breach of agreement if it is caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the party affected, including, but not limited to, acts of God, fire, flood, labor strikes, riots, wars, civil disorder, and terrorism. If a force majeure event makes it impossible for the agreement to be fulfilled, the speaker shall be entitled to retain the deposit but shall not be entitled to the full payment, regardless of which party is affected by the force majeure.
